Junghans men's watch Max Bill manual wind - architect of the time!
Max Bill was one of the most unusual artists of our time. As a true universal genius he worked as an architect, painter, sculptor, product designer and left us an extensive work of his creation. One of the most fascinating watch series, which is still produced almost unchanged to this day: his wall, table and wrist watches, which he developed for Junghans. As a Bauhaus student of Walter Gropius, he understood it like no other, the pursuit of constructive clarity and precise proportions to implement so consistently in his work. This understanding of space, art and the interplay of shapes gives the Max Bill men's wristwatch its unique design.
Above all, the finely designed dial with indices stands out and gives the watch a special look. The fact that Junghans is a master of watchmaking was impressively demonstrated in the production of this timepiece, so a J805.1 manual wind movement was processed. Another highlight is the extremely soft and adaptable calfskin strap, which forms a perfect contrast to the stainless steel case. With a pin buckle, also made of stainless steel, the watch can be easily attached to the wrist. The special "Bauhaus" look is mainly generated by the specially curved plexiglass with Sicralan coating, which gives the watch that certain something. The Max Bill manual wind is perhaps the most filigree of the series with only 34mm diameter, but it convinces with its unique design!
